In this case study we show how Damon works with his colleagues to provide professional development. During regular one hour sessions Damon offers teaching approaches that can used by tutors in their next lesson.

This case study highlights the use of pictures to stimulate learners to speak and listen.

Damon is a professional developer across literacy and numeracy at ATC, Hamilton. His role is to provide professional development for tutors both within ATC and to other organisations.

The tutors teach trades and alternative education courses for Train me which is a subsidiary of ATC. They come along to Damon’s sessions because they see the benefits of Damon’s sessions for their learners. Attendance is voluntary.

This case study seems to be having new teaching techniques in it. The old one which you have published few months back is not having these techniques in it.
