Adult educators almost always face many different levels of learners in their classrooms, with all the attendant difficulties in teaching.

Don Reed is a tutor at Wintec, in Hamilton, teaching on the National Certificate in Electrical Engineering Level 2 programme. He has 18 students in his full time class ranging in age from 16 to mid thirties and 12 students in an evening class.
