Adult learners strengthen their reading, writing and numeracy most effectively in contexts and with resources that have meaning to them. The resources hosted in this component of the website have been developed specifically to be engaging and relevant to New Zealand adults. This component will develop over 2010 as further learning resources commissioned by the TEC become available.
Reading Collections
The Reading Collections are part of a suite of linked materials developed for the TEC to support adult literacy learning. The materials include books for learners, audio versions of the books and learners’ guides. The learners’ guides include a number of activities to support the learner strengthen their reading skills as they read the articles within the Reading Collections.
